To the west, the lush greenery of the Skopos mountain, shrouded in trees, and with the mystical aroma of wild Greek herbs scenting the air.
To the South, the beaches and coastline of the Vassilikos peninsula.
To the East, the mainland of Greece, separated from the island milenia ago by the Ionian sea..
Relax and enjoy your meal whilst watching the boats sailing by.......fishing boats closely followed by a host of sea birds.......ferries en route to the mainland.............or ships destined for faraway shores.
On a clear day it is even possible to see the mountains of ancient Olympia.
To the North you will see the neighbouring island of Kefalonia, and, although the setting sun is not visible directly, at dusk in the evening, we see Kefalonia veiled in an amazing array of colours, ranging from soft pinks to deep purple, vivid reds to vibrant orange, and then..... when darkness falls... we are left with the moonlight shimmering on the sea and lighting up the coastline in silver hues.
One of the most memorable sights is at full moon, when we are treated to the moon rising above the mountains to the East.
Even a glance below the restaurant, on the slopes heading down towards the sea, you can sometimes see peacocks strutting around proudly displaying their impressive plumage during the mating season.
